As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects in diverse locations, ensuring their successful execution and completion. Your role will involve close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and various stakeholders to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will be required to read and interpret construction documents, including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Maintaining clear communication and facilitating processes between the owner, architect, and contractor is crucial, and your strong leadership abilities will be essential to drive project success. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, along with utilizing computer skills such as proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction-related software, are integral aspects of this role. Furthermore, the position entails a commitment to being home every other weekend.
Requirements for Traveling Superintendent:
- Extensive Professional Experience: Demonstrated track record with over 5 years of hands-on experience in the realm of commercial general contracting
- Home Flexibility: Enabling work-life balance with the opportunity to be at home every other weekend
- Advanced Document Proficiency: Proficient in deciphering complex construction documents, including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Comprehensive Project Understanding: In-depth comprehension of documentation and processes involved in interactions among the owner, architect, and contractor
- Exceptional Communication and Leadership: Exemplary communication skills coupled with strong leadership abilities
