Don started his career as a business owner 30 years ago as Founder and CEO of two Executive Search Firms.

Previously, Don was an executive with a Fortune 500 company.  In 1995 Don’s entrepreneurial spirit got the better of him and he founded a Search Firm in Minneapolis, MN.

This highly successful company quickly established itself as a premier technical recruiting company in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

In 1998 Don sold the company and his family fulfilled their dream to move back to the Southwest. He relocated to Albuquerque and opened a new firm, Sandias Executive Search (SES), in 1998.

SES enjoyed steady growth, including 14 straight years of Year-Over-Year growth and 8 consecutive record-setting years. The company has been honored as one of Albuquerque’s Fastest Growing Companies a record 11 straight years.

In 2021 Don began the transition of SES to an Employee-Owned Company. It has continued to thrive and is widely recognized as “The Best Game In Town”. They have been recognized as One of Albuquerque’s Best Places to Work.

Don grew up in St. Louis, MO and is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico and the Children’s Cancer Fund. He is a big hockey fan and loves to travel. He and his wife Paula also enjoy biking, hiking, fly-fishing, camping, listening to live jazz and attending theater performances and Jazz Festivals.
